BRING BACK ATTRIBUTE SWAPPING LIKE WHAT THE FISH

so as i heard, mc fixed "attribute swapping" in the 26.2 update///snapshot. thats so bad for us pvpers like whats that pls bring it back its like an part of the pvp scene without its impossible to play pls.

 this game will get so much hate from the pvpers, and i know that minecraft/mojang dont want this to be happen. just add it back pls. if it already got added again, pls update me

edit: maybe add it also to bedrock, dont see why not

    i feel like if spear swapping is a bug they should revert that but this is absurd like this prevents so many thing such as insta cart crystal pvp axe stuns and alot of macanics that the community i used to and should not be changed

    THIS IS WHY NO ONE WILL PLAY 26.2 UNLESS SOME GOAT MAKES A MOD TO ADD IT BACK WITCH WILL LIKELY HAPPEN BUT COMON MOJANG FIX ACTUL BUGS THAT EFFECT THE GAME FOR THE WORST NOT THE ONES EVERYONE USES LIKE THIS WILL RUIN PVP NAD NO ONE WILL UPGRADE SO EVERYONE WILL STAY ON 26.1 OR 1.21.11

    this "bug" has become a feature of the game, everyone loves it. it makes the game more complex, people play more. removing attribute swapping will permanently kill the pvp community. PLEASE dont do this to us brojang!!! im begging! i love pvp its the most fun part of the game!

    I don’t understand the reasoning behind this change. It effectively makes the spear useless and removes an important mechanic from PvP. Attribute swapping has been a key part of mace PvP for years, adding depth, skill expression, and strategic variety to combat. Removing it doesn’t just affect one weapon—it negatively impacts a significant portion of Minecraft PvP and reduces the number of viable playstyles and strategies available to players.

    This change also makes the game feel noticeably slower. Switching to a hotbar slot and placing blocks is no longer instant, forcing players to wait before taking action. As a result, building and quickly alternating between different block types feels much more tedious and less responsive than before.

    Overall, this change takes away from both PvP and general gameplay without providing any clear benefit. I hope Mojang reconsiders and reverts it, or at least finds a solution that preserves the mechanics and responsiveness that players have relied on for years.

    I mean they c'ant just remove/nerf bug that has been used for years now in pvp when people jave trained so hard they became the best of the world that just doesnt make any sence

    pls bring it back. i know it is a Bug but its in minecraft for years and make so much better. It is hard to learn, but is for me a part of the game(and the spear is completely useless after attribute swap ist gone).

    i like play pvp and survival and i use it always. In every game, it is important to always react fast and equip quickly, but with out dis it is imposibile.

    So pppllllleeeeeaaass bring it back into the game

    This is a massive change to the PvP community ,which is most of the mc community, and it will make a lot of users quit Minecraft because of this change.

    i’ve come to absolutely love this feature and not only for pvp (because i suck at it) but just playing on my own single player world using spear dashing to get around or even pearl catching when i need to make an escape i know it’s a bug but at one point was the creeper not a bugged pig skin? please mojang rethink this decision, sincerely a minecrafter

    whover said It's not about "skill issue" it's because people have become comfortable with it since it has existed for a long time now on the pvp community. Why blame them for learning it when it's gonna give you a huge advantage? Goodness... to you are you dumb attribute swapping is a skill its like if you get good at somthing you call it unfair dumbass if you can do it your just better mc is ruining pvp

    Attribute swapping is the best thing to come to Minecraft as it has enabled so many branches of PvP to root into the community and show outstanding feedback in the PvP community and play a big role as you can see and all mace and spear game modes will be effected as well as shield and axe PvP so please find it in your hearts to remove this change

    bro you guys genuinely aren't taking into consideration how this is gonna affect every pvp style. those who watch youtubers that make uu videos and teach pvp in general and gonna be affected. it's not like this changes the most forgotten gamemode but all of them

    Attribute swapping doesn't even effect other aspects of minecraft. There was no reason to remove it in the first place, if minecraft is a sandbox game for the players to do what they want, and if attribute swapping is now a key part of the game it should say in the game.

    AGREE AGREE AGREE!!! im not really into pvp but a lot of my friends are, and after discussing it me and my friendgroup all agreed that the removal of attribute swapping would be a huge loss for the community!!

    PvP just won't be fun without it, new tech will be hard to find, and normal things like spear swapping will no longer be a thing.

    I want to highlight how important the previous Attribute Swapping behavior is for many parts of the game. This change doesn’t just affect technical details — it directly impacts:

    • competitive PvP mechanics

    • custom PvP servers and minigames

    • adventure maps and combat‑based challenges

    • datapacks and custom item systems

    • long‑standing community combat setups

    For many creators and players, Attribute Swapping is a core part of how combat and equipment interactions work. Changing it in this way risks breaking systems that have existed and evolved for years.

    I hope the team can take into account how widely this mechanic is used across PvP and other gameplay areas, and consider solutions that don’t disrupt so many existing creations.

    Like some guy said: "Why are there so many votes for bringing back a bug that made PvP completely broken? If you don't learn how to attribute swap you just can't win from other players, making the gap between the best and the worst players extremely big. The people voting for this are probably just people who want to win from everyone else who is not learning this." Its like the same as saying: "I dont wanna learn chess" and then complaining about how unfair it is that you cant beat someone that has learned chess. Never the less im against the atribute removal and it is now back but wil be removed in a later update or snapshot. Wich mojang clearly stated in the newest snapshot changelog. I also saw people in the comments say mojang is deleting these posts wich is just sad. Like they cant just withstand a little feedback. So i just hope they will listen to the community and keep atribute swapping. Best of luck and al my blessing to this wonderfull post that wil hopefully bring back atribute swapping. Minecraft player out.
