Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Hay beds should let your avatar lay down during daytime

The new hay bed concept (shared by creators at least) seem like a more redundant source of beds that will only be appealing if you so happen to find an abandoned camp at night but couldn't find three sheep or a village since the crafting recipe is so much more expensive.

It would be really nice if we could use the hay beds to have our avatar lay down without skipping the night/day.

    The true purpose of the hay beds is not to set your spawn point while sleeping. So, if your base is far away from spawn, sleeping while adventuring won't reset your spawn point and cause you to respawn in an inconvenient location upon death. However, I think this would be neat as well.
