Minecraft multiplayer servers have independently recreated the same systems over and over again using plugins, commands, and admin tools:
- land claiming
- anti-griefing
- faction systems
- settlement permissions
- communal storage
- territory protection
- economy systems
Since these systems exist outside the game itself. Every server has different commands, different plugins, etc. It's too confusing.
The suggestion is not to replace normal survival. It's about adding an optional multiplayer-oriented system or gamemode that servers can enable natively.
The main idea is that ownership, protection, and settlement mechanics should exist physically in the world through blocks and items instead of mostly through commands.
For example:
- a settlement core or throne block
- a portcullis block
- a vault block
This would allow players to understand how a server works simply by interacting with the world itself.
