Revert the 26.2-pre-2 changes on Attribute Swapping

On the latest snapshot you can no longer quickly swap from one item to another and retain its attributes/use case. This change not only patched PvP techniques (breach swapping, lunge swapping, ...) used by tens if not hundreds of thousands of players, but it also makes performing actions quickly much more difficult.

For example, a use case of the previous item switching system was a technique often referred to as 'Breach Swapping'. By holding a fully charged Netherite Sword with an attribute of 8 attack damage you would quickly switch to a Mace with the Breach IV enchantment and click. What this would do is take the attack damage of the sword and practically apply it to the Mace, making the Mace deal the sword's damage while retaining its properties of performing smash attacks and being enchanted with breach.

This 'bug' is no longer simply an error in the game's code, as its been in the game for so long that it has been accepted by players as a staple of the game rather than a problem that needs to be fixed.

This still stands after 26.2-pre-3, since they claim that Attribute Swapping will be patched in future snapshots.

    Tbh attribute swapping what revived minecraft and made players like me come back to this game, it made minecraft fun and more interesting as the game can be played in many different ways ( pvp or building ) that actually requires skills, time, and practice to hone them.

    Attribute swapping is a part of minecraft now and is a part of pvp. Attribute swapping is now mostly used on pvp servers so removing it would make thousands of pvp players quit. im quitting if attribute swapping gets removed

    If you change this most people will stay on the version right now and most PvP mods will not make version compatible with the new version. There will be new mods to allow attribute swapping. There will be new sever that change the original code so it allows attribute swapping. YOU WILL SPLIT THE PVP COMMUNITY IN TO A MILLION PIECES.

    I'm not very good at Spear and Mace or even Crystal, I'm at learning Stage. But Attribute Swapping is a kind of heart for 1.9+ combat. Spear is the Second Strongest Weapon in the game only for 3 reasons: Lunge Swap, Extended Reach and Damage being directly proportional to Speed. And due to this change, Lunge Swap is already Dead, and Spear-Stun Slam and Reach Hitting is also trash now. And Crystal PvP (as I saw how it works) is just unplayable because we can't place crystals directly after placing obsidian. Even Anchoring is also ruined for not being able to charge the anchor through glowstone block directly after placing it. Though the Game Launcher provides every version of Minecraft Java, newer versions will have newer things but old Meta may end really quickly for such change. Minecraft still has many unfair bugs which don't help in anything but a useful one actually got removed. Like Minecraft Bedrock has a nickname Bugrock, and it should actually be debugged. I know that Mojang is trying to make both the Platforms same, but developers can make Bedrock little more like Java, as anyway once a player has Java, Bedrock feels useless, because it has more bugs than Java and very low freedom over Mods and Cosmetics. I'm not very happy that in future whatever I will learn for PvP will become useless. I like Mace playstyle but if Attribute Swapping gets removed, Mace Meta will be ruined and actually it will be harder for everyone to do a complex Elytra Stun Slam or a normal one.

    Attribute swapping has being a part of the pvp community for many years now and loved by the community and fixing it now will break a lot of the pvp techniques that are a big part of the community weapons like the mace and spear are gonna be considered useless in combat and pvpers will have to resort to mods or even staying in the version with attribute swap just like what happened to 1.8 this will lower the skill roof of pvp and I hope this change will not filly be integrated in the official versions of Minecraft

    mojang should pay more attention to there players and what they want this "BUG" changed pvp in the best way removing it can make pvp much worse and can lead players to quit the game

    PVP is useless withouth attribut swap you cannot do crystals fast no sheild disable all mace gamemods are useless it affects to much at survival pvp both we cannot switch in our hotbars fast

    You should keep the attribute swapping as it is not a bug now it is a skill for pvp and it will make pvp worse and the gap between the players which have high skill and low skill will be gone fairly and it will also disturb the muscle memory

    Worst upd ever I will still play 1.21.11 forever or the snapshot before this bad snapshot Mojang actually what are you doing Manepear is now the worst player in minecraft XD All spear stuff is gone mace gone i think i will just use the sword now EVEN CPVP IS BAD oh my gosh Fix it now

    New system affects players only negative. Not even one pve player said, that this update helped him at all, but thousands of pvp players are struggling. We are not easy to silence!!

    KEEP ATTRIBUTE SWAPPING UNLESS YOU WANT THE MINECRAFT PVP COMMUNITY TO FALL APART..

    but seriously it's such a crucial pvp technique that many of us rely on, our shield stuns have already been taken and as much as i dislike that personally i'll let it side, but attribute swapping is just too much!

    most players love the trick mace and lunge swap is op and we love it dont take it away mojang please
