    This is the face of pvp. absolutely no person will play this version of pvp, and they will miss out on cool updates because they are staying on the GOOD pvp version. idk what mojang is deciding with there game.

    This genuinly ruins pvp. for example, anchoring fast in cpvp, fast carting in cart, pearl catch with windcharge, stun slamming, shield stunning and probably more non pvp stuff. changing this is just stupid and wouldn't make the game better but only worse

    mojang decided to change the 4 block height damage to only two in 2024, which they later changed to 4 again, becaus they decided it was a bug, but it was in the game for so long, that it turned into a feature, so it should logically be the same to the attributes swaps

    Until not long ago before I was in pvp I didn’t knew about attribute swapping it never affected me in any bad way paper blocks attribute swapping by default and it can’t affect 99.9% of Minecraft players in a bad way. But if you’re into pvp attribute swapping is crucial and its removal will limit skill celling by miles and will only impact negatively and spark controversy in community like on 1.9 update

    Attribute Swapping has affected the entire pvp community for a long while, I understand it may be an unintended feature or a bug but however everyone has been using it as an actual feature and not treating it as something else.

    Removing Attribute Swaps could negatively affect the game in several ways.

    For one, vanilla/crystal players aren't able to place properly due to how the new snapshot registers ticks and etc, ofcourse though, they could adapt to this change. However, this would mean crystal/vanilla's skill ceiling in the mechanical field would drop inevitably, and players who have already spent countless hours perfecting crystal could leave the game due to this change

    Next, Gamemodes that require an axe and shield (Specifically: UHC, SMP, Axe, DiaSMP and etc) would generally end up alot choppier, the freedom of being able to have the cooldown of the sword and the special trait of the axe makes it so that players attain more fluidity in their gameplay, if you compare modern axe gameplay to The Dream Vs Technoblade duel, there is an incredibly noticable difference in how they disabled shields before and now

    Gamemodes that require the spears "lunge" enchantment now feel alot worse, almost unusable. Though I do agree that the reach was a bit much.

    Please vote, the PVP community would genuinely just sink especially since the marlow incident has only recently occured. Making a change like this might deal the finishing blow to the Minecraft PVP scene or could make history repeat itself once more, where a certain group of players refuse to update or play the newer versions(1.8), As an ex-1.8 player myself, I really didnt like 1.9 pvp until I saw how fluid it now was, and it was all due to attswap.

    PvP drastically changes without attribute swapping but I believe the game will adapt to its removal. When 1.9 nerfed spam clicking, the changes were not well received for several years. I believe the change to attribute swapping will be the same.
    Attribute swapping also has a genuine case for being too overpowered. It really is a game breaking bug that players and developers need to keep in mind all the time. Removing such a broken exploit makes the game more intuitive to newer players.
    My stance is the Attribute Swap Patch should not be fully reverted. However I do believe the order of operations should remain as Hotbar -> Attack -> Use because this makes techniques much easier to perform.

    As a member of the Elytra mace community and some one who just learned stun slamming please please fix this, i really like being able to disable someones shield mid fight in e mace because the shield is one of if not the biggest counter to mace, and needing to fly down, stun there shield then fly back up and elytra mace is really just an uneeded extra step, PLEASE PLEASE REVERT THIS UPDATE!

    To be honest from a pvpers perspective I may have a little bias but I do think they should add stunning and attribute swapping because people are so accustomed to the features to the point most of the mcpvp community has adapted to the playstyles/changes. Attribute swapping and stunning are core essentials for gamemodes like mace, spear mace, axe, smp, diamond smp and more to the point where if they got removed they would be much downgraded. I get that they were bugs but Mojang has been known to keep bugs like being able to get to the top of the nether roof. But at the end of the day its up to Mojang to fix it and most servers would probably add attribute swapping back or people would play on older versions like stunning. Thanks for listening to my rant :D

    This change is horrible no offense to mojang but it needs to be reverted I’ve been playing PvP for a while even though I don’t play too many attribute swapping gamemodes it affects general reaction time if you click to far to your axe trying to break a shield or for the countless thousands of players in the community. This would set the PvP community really far back and it is one of if not the biggest Minecraft community with the most active players

    This is genuinely bad and the fact that mojang knows we use the attribute swapping tech and still proceeds to remove it and I feel like that isn’t fair for the PvP community and the fact that they consider the nether roof as a feature is crazy how can you consider that a feature and not attribute swapping as a feature I genuinely hope mojang listens to us and keep attribute swapping as a feature

    NO WAY, IT SHOULD NOT BE REMOVED, PEOPLE HAVE ADAPTED TO THIS SWAPPING THING, MY MAIN IS MACE AND SPEAR MACE, THESE BOTH WILL BE USELESS WITHOUT ATTRIBUTE SWAPPING, IT HAS BECOME A PART OF THE GAME AS A PVP TECHNIQUE, IT SHOULDVE BEEN REMOVED EARLIER, BUT NOE PEOPLE HAVE LEARNED TO USE THEM.     This fix breaks all gamemodes besides sword. A large group of minecraft players are going to stay on 26.1, its going to bet he 1.8.9 effect all over, which killed minecraft for a few years. I think this may happen again if this change is not reveted.
