this effects all of pvp not just 1 or 2 of the kits maybe Mojang thinks that breach and spear swapping is too op or something but patching this will effectively break all pvp involving shields as well this is a core pvp mechanic now after being in the game for so long and should be worked with not removed

Attribute swapping has became a core experience of the pvp community in minecraft, players have seen it, learnt it, got used to it and became part of their skill set in minecraft pvp. removing attribute swapping now is a mistake

why would u do this. This ruins a community that has been in the game for so long. If it aint broke, dont fix it. horrible idea. Fire the person who proposed this.

Removing attribute swap will destroy the Minecraft pvp community with it making it's most popular kits unplayable like mace crystal and even spear mace pvp

It is far too late to remove attribute swapping, this should be a feature in Minecraft, & without this most of the PvP techs would be useless.

If a "bug" is a integral part of pvp then it's a feature.

If you’re gonna remove it at least do it the right way… the way it got done makes the hotbar feel so clunky and will affect a lot of players negatively, not only PvPers.

The PvP community musn't be ignored, it is stilll a large part of the game's player base. Also, this has been in the game for so long you can no longer just remove it.

A list of pvp gamemodes that would be affected: axe, UHC, SMP, mace, spear-mace and more.

Attribute swapping is a mechanic that the entire competitive community has built around for years. Techniques like breach, lunge swapping, and stun slamming represent genuine skill that takes real time and effort to master. Removing it doesn't make the game more balanced; for us, it flattens the skill ceiling and punishes the players who invested the most into learning advanced combat.

The argument that "it's a bug so it should be fixed" ignores how games evolve. Mechanics that persist long enough and become deeply embedded in how people play stop being bugs and become features.

Please revert this change and work with the community rather than against it.

This is definitely going to kill Minecraft altogether if this is implemented

They can't remove swapping right now, when the PvP community (which is the largest Minecraft community) uses it, especially considering that the UHC, Crystal, and Mace kits are the most used in the game.

    Please don't make this mistake.

I've been playing mc for 6 yrs now and got really into it 1yr ago cuz of mace pvp because i felt like it was made for me, this upd will just ruin the mace pvp ecosystem but also alot of other strat like fast shield disabling, fast anchoring and even more. mojang doesn't really care about the minecraft pvp in my opinion and they dont realise that the majority of players, play pvp weekly or even daily. Even tho this is considered a "bug patch" it has been in the game for so long now that the players just use it daily, without this feature the mcyt community will be smaller since alot of pvp yt will prob quit. So to be fair it is better to keep the attribute swapping as it is since it isnt considered game breaking and makes youtube videos (like manhunt) more intersting to watch and  requires actual skill to use. So in all fairness removing it is just a very stupid move. Ty for your time

For the competitive side of Minecraft, this change will be AWFUL. So many techs and discoveries could be gone just because of this.

Mojang should not remove attribute swapping because it's a technique that rewards creativity and makes the game more fun, than less.

Attribute swapping does not affect casual gameplay. Using attribute swapping to bypass the spear's cooldown to dash fast is balanced by the saturation it consumes and the fact that elytras exist for better movement. The thing is, what makes vanilla PvP with no restrictions not fun is battling in the sky with the elytra.

It is only when players collectively decide to not use elytras, rockets, end crystals and other items does attribute swapping come into play in vanilla PvP. It's when restrictions are placed on players that has fostered creativity in dealing more damage. In getting an edge on your opponent.

Creativity is what Minecraft is about. The PvP community has incorporated one line of intended code into dozens of different techniques, practiced it in our single player worlds, and applied it onto all sorts of different weapons and use cases. The moment-to-moment creativity in PvP that lets players outplay their opponent is fun and rewarding. Attribute swapping is creativity with the game's weapons.

Please do not remove attribute swapping. It will create another divide in the PvP community where some will stay on this version, and others will move on to the next. Its like removing dead coral because builders use it as stone. This decision removes creativity, the reason we love playing this game.

There is apparently a lot more issues coming with this: "The order in which inputs are processed have changed from hotbar -> attack -> use to attack -> use -> hotbar, meaning every swap now carries an unavoidable 50ms delay before any action can occur. Shields and totems both inherit this delay on top of their existing latency because you can no longer use them immediately after swapping, for gamemodes like pot and nethpot your potions are thrown +50ms later. For Vanilla PvP, anchor speed goes from 150ms to 300ms, hit-crystal from 100ms to 200ms. Effectively every timing doubles for any hotbar action. On 30ms ping, players ghost around 60% of their inputs. Across the board, vanilla PvP is close to unplayable. Stun slamming goes from  from 100ms to 200ms, using an axe goes to taking a full 100ms."
PvP is literally gonna be unplayable like this.
    Bring back attribute swapping Mojang

With this update you're forcing Minecraft pvpers to stay on a lower version; not only does this hurt a huge amount of your intended audience, but it also makes no sense to remove. Donut smp,  is the number one server right now, and its filled with pvpers this isnt just affecting few players, its affecting massive amounts.

This is simply used by far too many people to get rid of it now. Bug or feature, it's a pvp technique used by pobably about a million players, considering Minecraft has 200 million players worldwide.

I just saw a comment saying Mojang's developers should not have to continue building every aspect on combat around this. This is a really pathetic argument because it's not like Mojang doesn't keep bugs as features all the time - pearl glitching, prot 5, and basically every single part of complex redstone.

If so many people already use it and nobody had immediate problems with it, I see no reason for it to be removed.
