Turkeys would also fit great in the biome since it’s autumn themed. Honestly more animals in the world in general would be great.

If they do add this i hope they don't only spawn in this one biome, but are expanded to other biomes also, since they are a great way to add atmosphere to all forest biomes.

Owls would be great for more atmosphere into the wild life and maybe serve as a night time only mob that sleeps during day and wakes at night which would be great but mojang does not 100% do just as the real world.

nice idea. I think dappled forest might have red owls, taiga - brown owls, snowy taiga - white owls and forest - average owls.

They could be like you can harvest feathers from them

I don’t think spiders really have a natural predator in Minecraft, and I feel like owls would be a perfect fit.

During the day, owls could sleep on top of trees or hide inside hollow logs. At night, they’d wake up and hunt spiders, cave spiders, and occasionally frogs. Their glowing eyes and familiar hoots would make forests feel much more alive after sunset, adding the kind of nighttime atmosphere you’d expect in a real forest.

Owls could also be bred using Spider Eyes, finally giving that item another use.

Instead of encouraging players to kill them, owls could occasionally leave behind an Owl Feather and, more rarely, an Owl Pellet while they’re alive, similar to how chickens lay eggs. That way, players would have a reason to protect and breed them.

If an owl is killed, it would only drop meat.

    * Owl Feather + Flint → crafts a Spider Hunter Arrow, a special arrow that deals extra damage to spiders and cave spiders, similar to the Bane of Arthropods enchantment.
    * Owl Pellet (naturally regurgitated by owls) → can be used to brew the Predator’s Instinct Potion.

While the potion is active, spiders and cave spiders recognize the player as a natural predator and flee instead of attacking. It would be especially useful when exploring abandoned mineshafts.

To keep it balanced, the potion could give the player’s vision a slight yellow tint, making some hostile mobs, like Creepers, a little harder to spot.

I've been talking my friends ears off about how owls would be a wonderful Minecraft mob for years now, and literally searched out suggestions today to post this same thing! Mojang we need more flying mobs and they would fit so well it so many biomes, especially the dappled forest.
