I don't like how traitorous the piglins that spawn naturally are. You give them loads of gold or armor, and they immediately turn around and start attacking you. Individual piglins, or maybe clans that spawn together should have a loyalty level for players. Doing things like giving them armor or gold things that aren't ingots can increase their loyalty level. Killing a piglin lowers it by a level. At level zero, they behave like they do now. Any negative levels and they will attack on sight. At level one, they will tolerate your presence without gold armor. At level two, they will tolerate you opening chests and mining gold. At level three, they will not attack you for hitting them. At level 4, they will follow you and attack things that you attack, except zombified piglins and piglins. Giving them armor or gold has a chance of increasing their loyalty level by 1, proportional to the value of the item, ranging from like .5% for gold nuggets to 100% for netherite armor. This would let you lead a piglin war party into a nether fortress, which is something I would really like to see happen.
