Minecraft Colour Gradient

I am not disappointed by the amount of variation in blocks, but I think there should be more blocks that fill the gaps in transitioning between gradients. Most of these blocks can have a functional purpose, but the remainder can be for aesthetics. 

A few more variations in certain blocks would be nice. For example, spruce chests or bookshelves. Also, more parity between Minecraft blocks (specifically Java), like red nether bricks having their own fence gate. 

If you look up "gradient wheels", you will be able to see the gaps.
