Have you ever been exploring far from home and needed a temporary spawn point? I propose that campfires can work as temporary respawn points for exploration and camping.
Players can place sticks on the ground to create an unlit campfire, then light it with flint and steel. The campfire has 3 flame levels, and each level represents one temporary respawn.
After lighting it, the player can interact with the campfire to “rest” beside it, marking it as a temporary spawn point. This does not replace the player’s main bed spawn permanently.
When the player dies, they respawn at the campfire instead of their bed. Each death consumes one flame level. After all 3 lives are used, the campfire extinguishes and the player returns to their original spawn point.
Players can restore charges by using flint and steel again.
This would work like a lighter Overworld version of the Respawn Anchor, focused on exploration, camping, and survival immersion.
