Peas

As a game player and gardener, I would like to suggest a pea crop for the game. There are some real and neat varieties that could be used for inspiration on a unique harvestable / usable item. Varieties such as sugar snap peas, cow / purple hull peas, or winged peas could be really cool. My kids have been pushing to suggest this idea for years. Peas are in the legume family and a natural nitrogen fixer, holding it in their roots. They can help renew soil, used as cover crops. In companion planting, near heavy nitrogen feeding crops, peas can boost them. This concept could be used to enrich the farming experience. Ideas of increased yields for crops, increased radius of planting per 1 water block, or creating farming blocks to grow more unique items, maybe ones a sniffers can find. I also love the idea of creating an almost “three sisters” like planting concept with peas, plus the wheat and pumpkins / melons already in the game. Next peas could provide several neat building based features. They require a trellis like support for their wispy twinging growth habit. A trellis made of either sticks, bamboo, ore based rods, string, or a combination of these. Could be fun as a design element. Along with the peas themselves, think fun organic ladders, wall are and more. Cooking opportunities open up with peas. Make pea or pea and ham soup, stir fry using bamboo and other crops, or in potion brewing idea like winged peas for flying like buff, the possibilities are endless. ^_”
