Add a Volcano Biome to Minecraft
Minecraft currently has many unique biomes, but there is no true volcanic biome. Adding a volcano biome would make exploration more exciting and add new survival and building challenges.
Biome Description:
The volcano biome would generate as large mountain-like formations made of basalt, stone, and blackstone. Some volcanoes would be dormant, while others could be active, occasionally releasing lava flows, ash particles, and smoke into the sky.
Terrain Features:
Tall volcanic mountains with crater tops
Lava lakes inside or near the volcano
Basalt, blackstone, and scorched stone blocks
Ash-covered ground that gives a darker atmosphere
Small volcanic islands in ocean biomes.
New Environmental Effects:
Falling ash particles that reduce visibility slightly
Occasional lava eruptions from active volcanoes
Heated ground near lava causing danger for players and mobs.
New Structures & Loot:
Hardened lava caves with rare ores
Ancient ruined settlements preserved in ash
Volcano temples with rare loot chests
Unique geodes or magma.
New Mobs (Optional Idea):
Magma Golems that guard lava areas
Fire-resistant animals adapted to heat
Hostile mobs that spawn more often in ash storms.
Gameplay Benefits:
Adds more challenge to exploration
Creates new building opportunities with volcanic blocks
Makes Nether-like survival experience in the Overworld
Expands world generation variety.
