Biomes,
• Bioluminescent reefs, giant kelp forests, underwater caves
• New mobs like anglerfish-type things, or friendly merfolk traders
• Loot that’s only down there — maybe coral-based building blocks or a new material you can’t get on land
Monsters:
• The Drowned Leviathan: massive eel-like thing that patrols the trenches, dragging you down if you get too close to the abyss
• Coral Wraiths: fast, spiky mobs that blend into reefs and ambush you
• Abyssal Sirens: they mess with your sound — your game audio gets muffled and distorted right before they attack
• Depth Crabs: huge, armored. Can grab you
Mechanics to make it terrifying:
• The deeper you go, the darker and mobs get more dangerous
• Darkness = danger. Your torchlight attracts certain mobs
Loot could be stuff like Leviathan scales for armor that gives you swim speed + damage resistance, or a trident upgrade that summons lightning underwater.
a swimming Kraken boss would be perfect for this realm.
Here’s how it could work:
The Kraken
Doesn’t sit in an arena. It hunts you through the whole dimension, so you never feel safe. and when it notices you, it dives and bursts out of the darkness.
It uses ink clouds to block your vision, that grant darkness like the warden.
Loot:
Kraken eye for a new potion that lets you see in the dark plus kraken skinfor the best armor in the water. . And make it always stormy like thunder and lightning until you kill the kraken. Please add this …
