It's fantastic that geysers are completely controllable now. But I think something that would benefit practical gameplay as well as building would be if geysers went through blocks like copper grates, iron and copper bars, fences, ladders etc, just anything that logically would let air or steam pass through it without really hindering it. But not only would it make complete sense for these Blocks to let the geyser pass them, it would actually be helpful with building. A practical thing that comes to mind immediately is an elevator where you step onto a copper grate and press a button placing lava and thus boosting you up. A purely decorative build idea was the first thing that came to my mind when I first saw the geysers (when they were still able to do this): A steampunk Factory mainly made from copper where there are just vents every few blocks that spew out hot steam. Please do not force me to build a bunch of water filled holes in my factory, Mojang. So many avoidable accidents.
