Indicator that Lead is Broken

Pulling animals on leads is a chore.  The animals frequently become detached without any warning or indication, so I'm constantly looking over my shoulder to make sure they haven't been left behind.

Suggestion: have a "status effect" ICON that shows up on the upper right corner of the screen (similar to Bad Omen) when you are holding a lead attached to an animal.  The icon disappears when the animal is detached, alerting you to stop and collect your confused critter.

Alternative suggestion: a noticeable SOUND plays when your lead has broken and the animal has become detached.

Both icon AND sound would be even better!
