Please read the pinned post on creating new biomes and dimensions. Remember that individual items, mobs, and structures should still go in their own categories - this is not a category for entire updates.

Regarding Vulcanised Rubber as a block:

Vulcanised Rubber would be bouncy, similar to slime blocks, but also from the sides, thus allowing to bounce Mob of off Rubber walls or bounce Minecarts at a rail end instead of stopping them.

Vulcanised Rubber is flammable and produces noxious gases while on fire.

Vulcanised Rubber acts as an insulator. If Water/Lava is placed on top of a Vulcanised Rubber block, with air underneath, there are no Water/Lava drip particles dropping from the Vulcanised Rubber block. Dripstones placed on the bottom side of Vulcanised Rubber block would also not fill couldrons, even if Water/Lava was placed above the Rubber.

Vulcanised Rubber also acts as a sound insulator. Blocks that normally emit sound, e.g. Minecart Rails, would be silent when placed on top of a Vulcanised Rubber block. This can also be used to silence campfires placed for the smoke effect.

    Regarding craftable items:

Rubber Boots - crafted by placing Vulcanised Rubber in the slots typical for feet equipment (bottom two rows of the first and last column) - are a standard equipment with durability, providing 1 armor point, same as Leather Boots. Wearing Rubber Boots provides immunity from walking on plants that cause negative effects, such as Wither Roses or Sweet Berry Bushes.

Swim Fins - crafted by attaching two Vulcanised Rubber to Rubber Boots - are also foot-slot equipment, providing 1 armor point. Swim fins reduce walk speed by half and disable sprinting, but double the swimming speed (movement of the player in water, as long as they feet don't touch a solid surface).
Both Rubber Boots and Swim Fins take double durability damage from Fire, Lava and Magma blocks.

Gas Mask - crafted by placing Vulcanised Rubber in top middle, middle left and middle right slots, as well as an Iron Ingot in the bottom middle slot - is a head-slot equipment, providing 1 armor point, same as Leather Cap. When worn, Gas Mask provides immunity from Noxious Gases and also prevents the application of Lingering Potion effects.

    Regarding Bicycles:

Bicycle - crafted by placing Vulcanised Rubber in bottom left and right corners and Iron Ingots in bottom middle as well as the entire middle row - is an entity, similar to a Boat or a Minecart, but with durability. Bicycle can be mounted by a Player to achieve double the sprinting speed. Bicycles accelarate lineary with the current speed, so going from 50% speed to 100% speed is much faster than going from standstill to 50% speed.

Bicycles disable jumping, but can ride up one block of height. Doing so slows down the Bicycle by 25% of current speed, meaning that going up steep hills is actually slower than walking.
Similarly, riding down one block of height adds 15% to current speed, up to the maximum speed.

If attempting to ride up more than one block of height at a time, the Bicycle comes to a complete standstill and takes durability damage based on the impact speed.

Riding down more than one block of height at a time does not provide any speed increase, but a Player riding a Bicycle can safely fall down 5 blocks before beginning to accumulate fall damage and durability damade to the Bicycle, based on the height of the fall.

Riding up/down Stairs counts the same as riding up/down one block of height.
Riding up a Slab provides only 10% speed penalty, while riding down a Slab provides only 5% speed increase. Other not-full height blocks count as full-height if they are >1/2 block high, as no height if they are <1/8 of a block high and as a Slab otherwise.
