Let’s face it: god-armor with Mending and Protection IV completely ruins the survival aspect of late-game Minecraft. You become an immortal god, and the world stops being scary. Power should come with a terrible price.
The Concept: Over-Enchantment Penalty
When an item has too many high-level enchantments, it triggers a hidden mechanic: The World Rejects You. If you want to carry overpowered gear, you must face the consequences.
The Aggro Aura: Monsters can smell the overwhelming magic on your gear. Wardens, Piglins, and Shulkers can now detect you through walls from twice the normal distance. You are no longer hidden; you are a walking target.
Anvil Fracturing: Every time you repair or upgrade an over-enchanted item on an anvil, there is a 15% chance to "Fracture" it. A fractured item loses one level of a random enchantment (e.g., Protection IV drops to Protection III). However, if the chosen enchantment has only a single level (like Mending or Silk Touch), it is removed completely.
The Magic Corruption: While wearing full over-enchanted armor, regular food gives 30% less hunger restoration. Your body is sustained by pure magic, forcing you to rely on rare golden foods.
Stop making the end-game a safe, boring stroll. Let’s make the world punish you for being too powerful.
