Nether onyx

More Nether block variety. While people often focus on the End needing an update, the Nether is starting to feel stagnant, too. Adding Onyx could refresh exploration without replacing Netherite.

Onyx would be a Nether-exclusive ore hidden underground like Netherite, but more common and accessible earlier in progression. Its tools and armor could sit between the iron and diamond tiers, giving players a meaningful mid-game upgrade before reaching diamond.

Unlike existing ores, Onyx could also have unique Nether-related properties, such as improved durability in lava, faster mining on Nether blocks, or reduced knockback from Nether mobs. This would make it feel like a true Nether material instead of just another stat upgrade.
