Hi, devs!
Hostile mobs are annoying when building a peaceful functional town/city/castle — safe place for villagers to roam. Zombies keeps spawning from unlit areas and creepers keeps sneaking behind me (player), and in a long run this is pretty much annoying.
I hope there's an end game item like how we acquire beacon and conduit in the game. A new block that repels or prevents hostile mobs to spawn in a specific area. So the idea is that it acts like a conduit or a beacon, but instead of giving you buffs it will prevent hostile mobs from spawning from 10 blocks up to 50 blocks away (max level) from the source. This item should be rare to find or to acquire, so my suggestion is either incorporate it to treasure chests, ancient city's loot, end city's loot or a new craftable block using the nether star.
Another feature of this new block is that we can upgrade its capability to prevent HM to spawn by surrounding it with specific block to amplify its power. (similar to enchanted table, conduit, and beacon).
Obviously, the idea behind of its difficulty to acquire is to prevent players in early game to abuse its capabilities to prevent HM to spawn, especially when playing hardcore mode or just survival mode. To make it vanilla and authentic in the game is to make it as an end game item.
That's all. Thank you for reading this far, devs!
