Manual sulfur geysers activation

It would be amazing to be able to activate geysers manually. Many interesting things could be done with them: elevators, devouring, maybe even farms. Some of the ways I can think of are: - Redstone (maybe a bit off-topic) - Using soul sand instead of magma. - Using two magma blocks - Having the geyser activate instantly when a powerful sulfur or magma block is placed (this would only activate the geyser, not keep it active).
