1.Separate buttons for the world owner “Game Mode” and “Allow Commands” in the Multiplayer… menu

    2.New commands /op /deop and /setmaxplayers (1-40)

    3.Party System

In the Bedrock Edition, you can enable cheats for yourself in any world, and there’s even an option to set your game mode. In the Java Edition, in the Multiplayer... menu a new category could be added, called something like “Owner Settings,” with buttons for “Game Mode” and “Allow Commands.” I've seen situations where the world owner had to use the “Other Players” category to enable cheats or change the game mode. In those cases, all their friends can use the commands and change the mode, which isn't always desirable.

These commands are available in the Bedrock Edition; it would be pretty cool if they were added to the Java Edition as well. It would make the game more fun and make it easier to manage your world.

Now that we have a friends system, we can also have a party system. A separate chat feature is great, and it makes it easier to travel with friends to different worlds.

My one complaint is that my friends can't play the server unless I, the person who created the world, is online! I wish that once you are added as a friend and join the world once, then you are able to join and play regardless of if the host is online.

I've noticed that when you apply changes to the multiplayer network, and click apply changes. When you leave the world and join back, the multiplayer network setting doesn't save to the last thing you changed it to. I recommend making it save even after you leave the world so players don't have to manually change it back every time they rejoin their world.

This new system of joining friends worlds is really super, but I think that it would be great if you could add feature like this: the world u are joining is also saving at your pc and it is synchronised. So anyone who joins the server first will be the host for the rest, it would be something like shared server or something similar.

To inquire about your interest in social expansions, some players I've met are worried with the precedent of Bedrock inclusions -> Java updates. And, I would like to bother you with the question of whether you are interested in merging the Minecraft modding community not just with the core Java version but also with whether you'd like to incorporate Minecraft modding into your software development & education interests with the game. It seems like if Mojang were to make explicit its intentions to treat the Java community with careful hands while also taking good action to include it in expansion, firstly doing that would be a good strong step with any real developed plans for incorporating the imagination of the Minecraft player to what Mojang can really deliver. Keep in mind the precedent which Java players have been willing to accept, Realms has been a paid service since its initiation and, to my knowledge, it has been well received. If you plan on bringing out these features as a paid expansion to the game, proportionately valid paid-expansions to what has been widely accepted should be the first methods on the minds of the implementors. Hypixel has had paid permanent ranking as a system for over a decade, and Hypixel alongside their competition are good places to start to find out what vanilla players are willing to popularize and what developers could use to expand the bounds of it. Everyone would like to see a Hypixel-Mojang merger with the exception of Hypixel critics.

I need help. I'm trying to invite or join a friend using the friend list, but I'm having trouble in doing so. Does the distance or location matter cause I have done everything I'm supposed to do with the privacy settings, sending friend requests and getting everything set up, but nothing.

Help would be greatly appreciated. :(

Friend system is useless if there is no option to connect to friend worlds using peer-to-peer or make a party with them to auto join servers. Removing peer-to-peer would simply make community more anger and basically boost mod community to make mods that will fully cut out friend list because it's useless and takes up space in UI

In the new snapshot 26.2-pre-1, you guys got rid of the online thing that you could put in the multiplayer settings, and as my friend doesnt live close to me, we cant play anymore because there are only 2 options, the option to choose LAN, which i cant use to make my friend join, or the ability to make offline, that's it. And as i made a great world with my friend but now i cant play it with my friend, i would like for the team of Mojang to return the "Online" option.

I would really like to keep the multiplayer feature cross different networks and make the world accessible by friends. This is is what I think many people would want, and since it took this long to finally do something like it, is kinda crazy. thanks for the new snapshots, its great, since we live far from each other. and yes there are servers and so on, but this should be a standard feature for a legendary game like this.

The friend list is great but.
26.2-pre-1 doesnt let me my friend join by invitation. We are really far away and the only problem that there isnt now button that my friend let me join by invitation. Only local wifi and no multiplayer. Please could you add back the invitation thingy to the game back? Because i wanna play again with my friend.

Sorry for poor english. I am not from america

pls make it simpler, me and my friend are not getting invites from eachother and we cannot figure out what the matter is. I have tried everything but nobody is getting invites from me or my friend. I looked it up and it said there will be a popup that says accept or decline and I dont see that. I set the world to online, invited my friend and nothing happens even tough in the top right corner it says the invite was sent.

I understand that the peer-to-peer world joining might be broken, more so than you can fix before the update release, and that's why it was removed, but it would be good for you to release a detailed explanation of why. And if you do in fact intend to add peer-to-peer still, please say so, explicitly, and give a timeline if you can. Because right now, it looks like you removed a long sought after feature (which is also the only part of the friends list anyone cared about) right after announcing it with, for all we can tell, no intention of adding it back anytime soon, if at all.

Pretty much saying what has already been said before, but we need confirmation on whether peer-to-peer actually being added. It's said you 'do not consider the feature ready for release in its current form' which implies that when it's improved it will be readded, but as far as I'm aware, there has been no discussion on it since it's removal, (none at minecraft live or the chaos cubed news post) which is not making me hopeful.

This is really the only thing that is keeping me and my friends on Bedrock, when Java is objectively a more polished experience, and it very much feels like the significance of this feature is being ignored by Mojang.

i liked the option to play with Friends online. I dont see, why you couldnt just let it in the Game and improve it over time. I mean it worked. How is it going to take, until we can use it again?

you should move the friends, and other small buttons to the bottom, since they look weird in the middle. also make it so you can join worlds like in bedrock
