Going back to the previous save file in case we die

We need a method to revert to previous save files in Minecraft in case we die and lose our items. Because I had accidentally placed a lava bucket and got all my stuff burnt I had zero add-ons and zero duplicates of the world and I was playing on a single-player world and what if a player has valuable stuff and they lost everything by accident but they had zero add-ons or duplicates although I don't know where this would belong
