Desert islands can be found in the middle of the ocean, and inside them, you can find new trees, mobs, items, and food. First, regarding trees, there are palm trees, and coconuts grow on them. There are two types of coconuts: green, unripe coconuts, and brown, fully ripe coconuts. Green coconuts provide 4.5 bars of satiety, while brown coconuts provide twice as much satiety as green ones. The mob is the King Crab, and killing it drops a Claw. Claws allow you to mine blocks further than you can with your bare hands. Oh, and you can also often see shipwrecks on uninhabited islands.
