The Goal
Add customizable "Control Dead Zones" in the touch-control editor to prevent accidental camera movement or joystick activation when clicking action buttons (Jump, Attack, Place).
The Details
Many mobile players experience "camera snapping" where the camera snaps in a random direction because the game registers a tap on a button as a swipe.
I propose a new setting in the Touch Control layout editor:
- Dead Zone Boxes: Players can place invisible, resizable rectangular "Dead Zones" over their buttons.
- Function: These zones would disable camera swiping and joystick activation within that specific area.
- Seamless Gameplay: If a player starts a swipe outside the zone and moves into it, the camera continues to turn normally. It only blocks the initial touch from being registered as a camera movement.
The Balance
This feature is strictly a UI improvement. It doesn't change game mechanics, but it levels the playing field for mobile players who currently struggle with input errors during combat or parkour. It also provides more flexibility for custom UI layouts.
