Crank-operated crossbows were a weapon used in the Middle Ages. They were crossbows, but much more powerful and capable of penetrating plate armor. They had a much greater range than a standard crossbow and featured a pulley system to tension the string, allowing them to fire with greater power and at greater distances. The projectiles of crank-operated crossbows were arrows, but larger and more powerful. However, their disadvantages were: 1) a very slow reload time; 2) their considerable weight. My idea is to add them to the game Minecraft, but to maintain balance, their crafting would be very expensive. You would need 3 netherite ingots, 4 Netherwood planks (red or blue), and string. They would use a chain and a wire hook. The crafting would be: (in the center, the chain; in the top row, the 3 netherite ingots; and below, in the center, the hook wire; and in the two squares to the right and left, the Netherwood planks (red or blue).) The crafting of the arrow would be: flint on top, in the center, a wooden fence in the center, and in the bottom row, feathers. (Weaknesses: 1. They would be very slow to reload. 2. They would have the same reaction time as the wooden axe, and during that time, nothing could be fired.) and would cause 14 hearts of damage, that is, double the damage of a normal crossbow.
