Cat armor and combat

My cats need to be able to fight. I have four of them and one fox and I don't want to get a wolf because it will kill my fox. If only my cats could fight. I want a mechanic where the cats fight and fish drop scales when you cook them in a furnace. You can make armor out of the scales. there are three scale tiers:

Common scales from normal fish

Shimmer scales from tropical fish

Prismarine scales are a rare drop from cooked salmon.

You can craft armor with one set of scales in the middle of the table and a piece of leather above and below it. Prismarine amor gives the most protection followed by shimmer and finally common scale armor. It has the same enchantment rules as wolf armor. Go cat armor!
