Currently, building compact "flush" piston doors (like 2x2 Jeb Doors) on Bedrock is much more difficult than on Java Edition. Because Bedrock lacks Quasi-Connectivity (QC), redstone wiring becomes "messy" and bulky, often requiring extra space below the floor to power the bottom pistons.
To fix this without breaking the years of amazing work Bedrock players have already done, I suggest adding a new Gamerule: /gamerule do QuasiConnectivity.
Why this is the best solution:
1. Parity: It allows Bedrock players to follow Java-style tutorials and use advanced redstone mechanics.
2. Stability: By making it a toggle, it won't break existing Bedrock contraptions that rely on current physics.
3. Flexibility: Builders can choose the "logic style" that fits their specific map or build.
Adding this toggle would bridge the gap between versions while respecting the unique history of Bedrock's redstone community!
