The End is meant to be the quiet, lonely end of the world. I do not want new mobs, extra biomes, or complex gameplay that would ruin its empty atmosphere, nor do I want it to copy the dense, busy content of the Nether Update.
My only simple suggestion:
Generate many small, scattered ancient ruins widely across all End islands and void areas.
These ruins should be small, broken, and sparsely placed, with very few hostile mobs, subtle environmental lore, and mild rare loot.
