Vertical slabs

Why dont we have vertical slabs added yet? I as a builder myself would love vertical slabs to be added and other builders in my opinion as well. Think about how many cool buildings would be absolutely great looking and more awesome. Crafting recipe very simple, put 3 blocks (just like how you make slabs) but place them vertically and if you accidentally made vertical slabs instead of horizontal slabs, just craft it like how you make regular slabs and it will be back to normal how you want it. Also, I wanted to build The Empire State Building. There are a lot of windows with THIN lines seperating them from each other (just like what a vertical slabs job should do) instead of having a block being way too chunky. Vertical slabs would be absolutely a game changer
