Update Concept: Trims & Talents
I propose "Trims & Talents," adding utility to armor trim materials. To balance, power scales with the rarity of the Trim Pattern used (e.g., Silence yields the strongest effect). Full sets are required for maximum potential.
Material Talents
Copper: "Charge" armor in thunderstorms; deals shock damage on the next melee hit.
Iron: Acts as a loot magnet for items/blocks (aligns with new Lodestone lore).
Redstone: Player acts as a conductor, powering components (Pistons/Lamps) on touch.
Emerald: Improves loot quality in "unopened" natural chests (avoids economy bloat).
Lapis Lazuli: Pulls XP orbs from a distance. Downside: Enchanting deals small armor durability damage.
Gold: Pacifies Piglin Brutes and slightly improves Piglin bartering rates.
Amethyst: Portable light source; full suit emits Light Level 15.
Quartz: increases a resistance to negative effects,
Decreasing duration and severity of any negative effects.
Diamond: High knockback resistance (100% for full suit), bypassed by Golems/Enchants.
Netherite: Heat resistance; walk on Magma Blocks and Campfires safely.
Resin Brick: Emits particles pointing toward Creaking Hearts within 10 blocks.
