Golden Cedar Tree

A rare cedar-like tree that generates in warm biomes such as meadows and plains. It features warm golden-toned wood and pale, lightly speckled leaves, adding a new natural building pallete. The tree provides a full wood set for building. In addition, leaves collected with silk touch can be smelted to occasionally produce small opal fragments, which can be crafted into decorative opal blocks. This feature focuses on expanding building options while adding a subtle, optional resource mechanic that fits within existing systems.

    Imagine walking across your world over thousands of blocks, you find your world very familiar but miss the thrill of discovering and finding the rare things of minecraft. You walk to find yourself near a beautiful new biome : the golden meadow. A rare biome indeed. You look around to find a meadow full of golden dandelions, which you remembered from crafting a dandelion with golden nuggets. But more rarer, you find a magnificent tree : the golden cedar. The tree makes you feel luxurious with its warm golden toned woof and speckled white leaves with bits of tiny colours. You decide to collect the trees with your special shears or silk touch tools, and put it in a furnace to smelt. You find small opal fragments left behind, colourful and gorgeous. You put it into your crafting table, and craft the new opal blocks, ones very similar to the quartz set. And craft yourself a beautiful opal pillar block. You build a luxurious garden with your new blocks, finding beauty knowing something new and special will always come in the plain.
