Subject: Suggestion for Bedrock Edition: Adding the "Main Hand: Left" Toggle for Java Edition Parity
Dear Minecraft Development Team,
I am writing to suggest a much-needed feature for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition to bring it further into parity with the Java Edition: the ability to switch the Main Hand to the left.
In Java Edition, players have long had the option in the "Appearance" settings to change their main hand from right to left. This isn't just a visual preference; it is a significant quality-of-life improvement for several reasons:
Player Representation: Many players in our community are left-handed in real life. Allowing them to reflect this in-game creates a more immersive and personal experience.
Accessibility: For some players with specific ergonomic needs or visual processing preferences, having the dominant item on the left side of the screen is more comfortable and less distracting.
Version Parity: As Minecraft continues to bridge the gap between Bedrock and Java, this remains one of the most noticeable visual differences.
Implementing a "Main Hand" toggle in the Bedrock settings would be a massive win for inclusivity and consistency across all platforms. Thank you for your hard work and for listening to the community’s feedback!
Best regards,
