The ocean in Minecraft has great potential but currently feels limited in depth and variety. This suggestion aims to enhance underwater exploration by introducing deeper ocean trenches, new structures, and a more diverse ecosystem.
Deep ocean trenches could generate as rare biomes, featuring unique terrain, hidden loot, and ancient underwater structures. These areas would create a stronger sense of progression and discovery.
To support this, a wider range of marine life could be added. Examples include large passive creatures like whales (which could potentially be rideable), as well as hostile mobs such as sharks or deep-sea squids that add challenge and excitement to ocean exploration.
Additionally, exploring extreme depths could require special equipment, such as a deep-sea suit, allowing players to safely reach the ocean floor while managing pressure or oxygen-related mechanics.
Overall, this update would make oceans feel more alive, immersive, and rewarding to explore, while adding both risk and progression to underwater gameplay.
