The Hellhound is a hostile Nether mob that would spawn in the Crimson Forest, roaming in packs as a dangerous predator. It’s fairly large compared to regular wolf with glowing cracks of fire running through its body. Its eyes burn bright orange, making it easy to identify and fear. By default, Hellhounds are highly hostile and will attack players and mobs on sight. Their bites deal both physical damage and fire damage. Hellhounds can be tamed using the Withered Bone which would be dropped by wither skeletons or blaze rod. Once tamed, they become loyal companions. It deals both physical damage and additional fire damage with each bite. Its attacks can quickly overwhelm unprepared players, especially in groups. It will follow its owner across dimensions and automatically attack hostile mobs, making it a powerful ally in combat situations. The Hellhound is extremely vulnerable to water. contact with water sources, including rain and snow, damages it significantly. Bringing a tamed Hellhound into the Overworld requires caution, certain biomes and weather conditions can be lethal to it.
