Dear Mojang Team,
The Structure Block is a vital tool for the creative community, but its current interface requires too much manual file management. I suggest the following features to modernize the workflow:
- Integrated Structure List: Add a dropdown menu within the GUI to see all saved structures in the world. This removes the need to memorize names or check external folders.
- Draggable Selection Box and Rotation Structure: Instead of only manually typing X, Y, and Z coordinates, allow players to also be able to visually drag and resize the bounding box in the world view. Add a rotation button to rotate or mirror structure.
- In-Game Cross-World Transfer: Enable players to export and import structures between different worlds directly through the game interface. This is especially crucial for console and mobile players who cannot easily access system files.
- Defined Storage Modes: Add a clear toggle to distinguish between saving to RAM (Temporary) and Disk (Permanent). This will prevent accidental data loss and clarify how the structure is being stored.
- Full In-Game Management: All organization including renaming, deleting, and moving files should be possible within the Minecraft UI. Players should never have to navigate complex device directories to manage their builds.
These changes would make the Structure Block significantly more accessible and powerful for builders on all platforms. We hope you will consider these community-driven improvements.
Best regards,
