Respawn Anchor

Hello developers and anyone reading this feedback! I was playing out of boredom
after building about two farms and I noticed a block with so much potential:
the so-called respawn anchor. This block allows you to respawn in the Nether... 
basically, it's just a difficult-to-make bed. Could we explore more uses for this
block? Literally no one talks about it, and I'm pretty sure that if I hadn't 
brought it up, no one would even remember it existed. I can't deny its texture is 
beautiful, but honestly, I think it's a stupid block. Think about it: why would I
want this block? Why would I spend hours building a Nether respawn? Could it be a TP
block? A quick respawn to the overwall, but a Nether respawn that doesn't even
 let you save your items? That idea could be improved. Why have an expensive and 
difficult-to-make bed? It seems like a very poorly designed mechanic, a huge waste 
for a beautiful texture.
