Trade & Travel Update: Traveling Villagers
The current wandering trader feels random and disconnected. Instead, add Traveling Villagers who move between villages and create a real trade network in Minecraft.
Core idea: villagers with professions travel on roads between villages, carrying goods and restocking when they arrive. Players can encounter them naturally or follow them to discover new villages.
Mounts depend on biome:
Plains/Forest: horses or donkeys with saddlebags
Desert: camels for long-distance travel
(Optional) Snow: adapted horses
Types:
Blacksmith: tools, weapons, armor
Farmer: food and crops
Librarian: enchanted books
Mixed trader: rotating goods
Features:
Slightly better trades than static villagers
Can be protected from mobs at night
Leads players toward unexplored villages
Makes villages feel connected and alive
Why it matters: replaces random spawning with meaningful movement and makes the world feel like a living economy.
This would be a strong immersion upgrade for Mojang Studios.
