As everyone else is aware, the current trapdoor recipe is a huge rip off. For 6 whole planks I can make 2 trapdoors. This is frustrating especially considering that 6 planks can get you 3 doors which would be equivalent to 6 trapdoors. The pressure plate recipe requires 2 whole planks for a singular plate. Buttons require a whole block to make and you only get one. None of this makes sense. You get such little yield compared to the amount you put into the recipe. This needs to change, and has done for ages.
My proposal is:
Trapdoors - Keep the original trapdoor recipe but the recipe makes 8 trapdoors, or change the trapdoor to require two planks (instead of the pressure plate)
Pressure Plate - Instead of two planks for a pressure plate, it could be a wooden slab, or four buttons for the type of pressure plate. Of course for the gold and iron pressure plates they can keep their original recipe. On that note, buttons should yield at least 2 buttons per block. It would be most ideal to have one block yield 4 buttons, meaning the pressure plate would only require a single block. However this is just my opinion.
