The Idea
I propose a new mechanic where Sulfur Cubes gain adhesive properties when they interact with Honey Blocks. Specifically, if a Sulfur Cube "absorbs" honey, it should be able to stick to walls and ceilings regardless of gravity.
Key Features
-
Vertical Placement: Unlike most blocks, a "Honey-Infused Sulfur Cube" could be placed on the side of a block or under a ceiling without needing a support block underneath.
-
Redstone Potential: This could introduce a new way to transmit signals vertically or act as a "stationary" sticky block that doesn't move when pushed by pistons, but allows other blocks to stick to it.
-
Atmospheric Building: This is perfect for creating realistic volcanic vents, sulfur deposits in caves, or "dripping" chemical aesthetics in builds.
Why it fits Minecraft
We already have Sticky Pistons and Honey Blocks that affect movement. Adding a block that uses honey to defy gravity for decorative and technical purposes feels like a natural evolution of the current "sticky" mechanics. It rewards player experimentation and adds depth to the chemistry of the game!
