Carpet is a very utilized block, that is true, and yet.. it completely depends on the block its placed on, be it solid, transparent, water, snow, or lava.. the moment it is attempted to be placed over an air gap, it breaks.. Sure that could be solved with various tricks, but, in a case where i only need to cover one block of an ugly redstone gap in the floor, that the contraption needs, it just completely refuses to do so.. this has put me through frustrations where no other block feels good enough.. trapdoors get powered and somewhat obstruct the player, slabs completely force the player to crouch, which is inconvenient and annoying, and snow layers just melt, because there is light nearby. Carpet, with its tiny hitbox would've been perfect for the job if only it floated.. which is why i request for it to be un-linked from block dependency in some way. Would you kindly do that?
