Hedgehog:
The Hedgehog design should be imported directly from Minecraft Dungeons using its existing model and textures. Its design perfectly matches the "Vanilla" aesthetic of animals in Minecraft. It fits naturally into Forest, Taiga, and Meadow biomes, hidden among fern and berry bushes.
The "Curl" Defense: Utilizing the "curl up" AI recently developed for the Armadillo, the Hedgehog would retreat into a defensive ball whenever a player or a predator (like a Fox or Wolf) gets too close. While curled, it would be immune to most physical attacks and could even deal a small amount of "thorns" damage to anyone who touches it.
Pest Scaring & Hunting: This mob would serve a unique functional purpose by acting as a natural deterrent for Silverfish and Endermites. If a Hedgehog is nearby, these pests will be "scared" and try to run away, or the Hedgehog will actively hunt them down. This makes them incredibly useful for players living near Strongholds or using ender pearls frequently.
Nocturnal Foraging: To add more life to the night cycle, Hedgehogs could be more active during dusk and night, making the forests feel dynamic and alive even when the sun goes down.
Breeding: They could be attracted to and bred using Sweet Berries or Apples.
