Throughout the history of Java and bedrock, many features from Java have been added to bedrock and vice versa, yet some of these features haven’t benefitted the community such as the change to the strength of the regeneration given by the golden apple, the regeneration VI before the update was there to combat the slow health regeneration of bedrock edition. However, something that could have been done which would give better parity between bedrock and java alongside this update would be to change hunger and saturation mechanics in bedrock to match Java.
Alongside what was stated above there are many features from Java that bedrock players want as parity, such as: subtitles (in development), an offhand slot that functions similar to Java, an increased nether build height that would allow players to build on the nether roof and much more. On paper, some of this stuff seems simple to implement, such as building above the nether roof, two steps could be taken to achieve this, step 1: make it so the nether roof generates at a set height that isn’t the build limit (y = 128), step 2: increase the build limit of the nether.
Something things such as redstone parity are impossible to achieve due to how each programming language ticks the game, yet us as a community want what is possible, and you have already taken steps towards that with the addition of subtitles into beta/preview, as we don’t have easy access to behaviour packs that can bring this parity, we want to see you bring it
