Minecraft’s oceans need more variety, so here’s a new underwater evolution system. When a skeleton stays underwater too long, it becomes a Drowned Skeleton. Instead of a bow, it uses a trident, making it a more logical and challenging underwater ranged mob. It moves slightly faster than a normal drowned and has improved underwater accuracy.
If a creeper stays underwater too long, it becomes a Drowned Creeper. Instead of exploding, it releases a loud echo pulse that alerts all nearby hostile mobs and draws them toward the player. This makes underwater exploration more intense without random explosions destroying terrain.
To keep oceans balanced, drowned zombies would spawn less often, while drowned skeletons and drowned creepers would appear at lower rates. This adds variety without overwhelming the player.
These new mobs make oceans feel more alive, more strategic, and more connected to Minecraft’s logic. Skeletons using tridents underwater makes sense, and creepers gaining a new non‑explosive ability fits the environment. This system improves underwater gameplay while keeping it fair and fun.
