For a while, copper has had a lot of fancy blocks that can be used for building, they have a nice metallic texture and so many varieties. Cut, chiseled, stairs, slabs and so much more. After seeing the new sulfur textures in the upcoming Chaos Cubed Update were changed to be less saturated, I was a little disappointed because I was looking forward to a vibrant yellow block set. My suggestion is to give gold and iron the same treatment as copper, it would be good for consistency and bring a nice new color into the game.
As stated before, copper has a huge range of different blocks (as well as oxidized variants, but that isn’t necessary for iron). Perhaps there could be “cut gold” or “cut iron” blocks with stair and slab variants. When you cut copper in the stonecutter, it allows you to make more of your copper, because it makes 4 from one ordinary copper block. From cut copper, you can make a variety of different blocks. It would be a good idea for the same to be applied to gold, and perhaps iron as well.
With gold as a usable block set, it would be possible to make colorful decorations and statues that weren’t previously possible. As of right now, there is no such blockset with colors like that of gold. Iron could do the same, perhaps a nice cast iron texture/color to match the chains already in the game?
With this being said, gold and iron should bother get their own full block sets, it would help with the overall consistency of the game, and allow for much more creativity.
