In this post you call for radical and large scale updates to the overworld but never actually explain what you're looking for so I'm curious, what are you envisioning here? Personally I'm pretty happy with it but am wondering what your perspective is

I think sky islands would be a wonderful idea. Though I think thatd have to wait until after Mojang adds vibrant visuals to minecraft java. Or if they change how certain, if not most of how the lighting/shadows work. For example no matter how high you build in the sky. If its above the ground and its rendered youll see its shadow directly under it on the ground. doesnt matter if the sun is at sunset/sunrise, or if the blocks are so high up it doesnt make sense. Because as long as its rendered there will be shadows.

Also I think updating the End or adding a new dimension is a fine idea. But I do also agree the overworld needs updating. Besides for blocks theirs no reason to explore. When it comes to Structures theirs no special loot that makes combat interesting or unique that you can find. Theirs no items that can ONLY be found in these structures. The only few that do have value are trial chambers. Not saying every Structure needs a redesign to be like trial chambers. No I like the idea of early game structures. Which that could be how they are. But if so why does it feel so much rarer to find them? Also that doesnt mean their cant be interesting or unique loot in them to give you a reason to explore. Also either nerfing villages or making other structures on the same level as villages or at least near them when it comes to value. Because villages basically provide everything, Even if you have to grind for it if you know how its so much easier to do.
