The Sculk is AMAZING, and it's mechanics are really good...but, I think that there are some inconsistencies, so, here I have some suggestions!
Sculk connections
If we place wool on a Sculk block, Sculk sensors will still hear it, and that makes sense, but, if we place a sensor and a shrieker on normal blocks, with air in between them, the sensor will still warn the shrieker...I think it would be much better if Sensors and shriekers can communicate only through sculk blocks; if a sensor hears a vibration, and both the sensor and the shrieker are touching a connected line of sculk blocks, then the sensor will send a special charge type to the shrieker, which will, activate it, but if they are not touching a connected line of sculk, the sensor will be unable to warn the shrieker
Warden summoning
Right now, the Warden can be summon on any opaque block...which can lead to some hilarious situations, so, it would make sense if they can anly be summon on sculk blocks/sensors/shriekers/catalysts
Sculk spreading
The mechanic is good, but the Skulk, being a living organism, doesn't really reproduce...just spreads...so, what is making all those catalysts? I think of 3 ideas
- Sometimes, if a charge is really far away from its Catalyst, it has a chance of creating one
- When a Warden is killed, they will place a Catalyst upon death
- A new block, that will detect the death of a mob, and will act as a Catalyst ONLY if the Catalyst and this block are connected by an uninterrupted line of Sculk
