Resonance Flask a craftable block/jar that allows players to store up to 10 levels of experience. While XP storage is a common request, this version is balanced for Vanilla by being fragile and expensive to produce but extremely useful to the player by protecting and storing gained XP.
Recipe: Requires multiple Echo Shards and Amethyst Shards surrounding a central Glass block (regular or Tinted).
Visuals: Using different colored glass or Tinted Glass in the recipe changes the jar's glow colour. It emits light based on how full it is (Level 0–10).
Audio: Emits a low Sculk-like hum that increases in pitch as it fills.
The Mechanics (Risk vs. Reward):
Storage: Players "right-click & hold" to deposit levels. It holds a maximum of 10 levels.
Fragility: The Flask is extremely delicate. It breaks with a single punch (like a Turtle Egg) and requires Silk Touch to move once placed. If broken without Silk Touch, it shatters and spills the XP.
Death Penalty: If a player dies with a Resonance Flask in their inventory, it shatters instantly. Like a player death, only a fraction of the stored XP is dropped as orbs, and it has a chance to drop 1 Echo Shard or 1 Amethyst Shard, allowing you to salvage a piece of the crafting recipe.
It gives a much-needed secondary use for Echo Shards, making Ancient Cities essential for endgame players. It rewards careful preparation but punishes recklessness, perfectly complementing high-risk items like the Mace.
