Currently, weather transitions in Minecraft feel very abrupt and "binary"—the sky turns dark and it starts raining almost instantly. I propose a more realistic and immersive system where the sky becomes cloudy for 2 to 5 minutes BEFORE the rain or snow actually starts.
This would improve the game in several ways:
Immersion: It feels more natural to see the sky darkening progressively, just like in real life.
Warning System: It gives players a fair window of time to wrap up their activities, head back to base, or secure villagers before a storm hits.
In Vanilla Minecraft, the "on/off" switch for rain feels outdated. Adding this "pre-rain" cloudy phase would make the atmosphere much more dynamic and alive.
