Revert Sulfur & Cinnabar Desaturation

Sulfur and cinnabar blocks were shown in the Minecraft Live as nicely saturated blocks. These filled necessary niches in the block palette that people have been asking for for a long time, such as vibrant yellow bricks. The new snapshot, however, has seemingly desaturated both of these heavily, making them no longer fill those roles. This change should be rolled back.

 

I am not against the idea of getting blocks in these new colors eventually, I definitely see a use for something like this as a builder, but they are substantially less appealing and interesting than their previous saturations were. 

Please, Mojang, revert this change and give us the blocks you showed in the Minecraft Live.

    very true! sulphur and cinnabar as showcased in the live are by far a way more unique and interesting colour palette that allows for more creative builds than the muted colours as implemented in the preview

    I agree! I loved the old textures, vibrant colored blocks are my favorite types of blocks

    I like the desaturated textures personally, I don't mind the saturated ones but I think these new ones fit the materials more based on how they appear in real life. However, I guess at least cinnabar could be more saturated and still fit, and maybe sulfur could be a little bit more saturated (not sure about its saturation in Minecraft Live).

    The desaturated Cinnabar looks like Mangrove too much, and the desaturated Sulfur looks like Bamboo! We need vibrant reds and yellows!

    The desaturated colors make them way less unique. Also people saying its closer to real life are wrong, for cinnabar at least. It was such a bright red that people kept using it even after it was discovered to be toxic until cadmium red came along. Sulfur also has forms in which it looked as saturated as the original minecraft live. I really hope they revert the texture changes.

    Sulfur and cinnabar are known for being very bright, and desaturating them has just made them look too close to other blocks, and not accurate at all anymore :(

    I loved the bright colours from live and we don't have enough bright colours with a full block set in game.

    Serious agree. I was excited for bright brick textures, especially cinnabar. I was really looking forward to a bright red brick that isn't as dark and busy as red nether brick!
