I had an idea: An update called the "Ice Age."
No, not adding a bunch of random prehistoric animals like some of the other people want.
Here are my ideas:
The Ice Cube. Yes, a little bit of a pun, this is actually a mob. It is basically like the Slime and the Magma cube but it lives in the cold biomes. It hides by staying still and looking like a block of ice. There is a slight difference, as you can see closed eyes slightly, so if you're paying attention you'll notice it. When you come up close enough to them, they'll open their eyes (eyes turn from grey to black), jump out and attack you.
Then there's the Frosted. We have zombies, husks, and drowned. This is a cold variant of the zombie. And just like the other special zombie variants, it has its own special powers (like drowned can have tridents and husks make you hungry when they slap you). The frosted has built-in frost-walker abilities without having enchanted boots. This can be helpful, because they can't jump in the ocean to chase you, but also deadly, as they can trap you under. However, maybe the freeze radius is smaller than frost-walker enchanted boots. Frosted also have a unique weakness: If they enter a warmer biome, they melt and become a water source block. When they are defeated, frosted drop (as always with zombies) rotten flesh. They also have a chance to drop icicles, but that chance is completely gone if they die from lava, fire, or being in the Nether, and lowered if they die from melting.
